Senior Retention Marketing Lead

Universal Standard is looking for a talented retention marketer to join our fast-growing team. In this key role, you will lead the launch of a new loyalty program that will foster a long-term relationship with our customers and support key company goals. You will own the strategic vision for expansion of our loyalty and retention efforts, including but not limited to building out a robust loyalty program and building on our current email strategy. You will work with the marketing and ecommerce team to successfully execute your vision. The successful candidate will be equal parts creative and analytical, delighting our customers with new experiences while measuring the effectiveness through advanced analytics. They should have a strong understanding of customer research and segmentation, and be able to turn insights into delightful experiences. The ideal candidate is comfortable making complex, cross-functional decisions, and can communicate them effectively to senior leadership to gain buy-in and support.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the launch of a new loyalty program, building from scratch. This will be a key focus for the company in the next 12-18 months
- Expand on current email program, enhancing email trigger efforts (currently on the Bluecore platform) and refining our segmentation strategy
- Coordinate numerous cross-team efforts in support of the loyalty and email programs
- Develop key performance indicators for the loyalty and email programs and set up standard reports to communicate progress to leadership
- Develop a budget and operating plan for the program
- Identify opportunities to scale our retention efforts in the mid to long-term
- Lead the strategic vision for expansion of our loyalty and retention efforts
- Define and implement strategies that successfully build long-term customer relationships
- Build upon and groom a sophisticated email strategy that leads to greater purchase frequency
- Partner with the Ecommerce, Merchandising, and Design teams to develop retention and LTV insights and actions
- Exercise judgment to make the right trade-offs and take calculated risks to drive innovation
Who You Are:
- 5+ years’ experience in program or project management, MBA a plus
- Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery of cross-functional projects
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Knowledge of digital marketing and CRM
- Strong financial acumen
- Experience building and leveraging customer segmentation to deliver relevant offers and experiences
- Track record of leadership and ability to influence
- Excellent communication skills
